Halloween night and one of the most memorable Slush evenings ever. The surprise return of Peter G from his overseas trip — in a coffin (but thankfully conscious). Simon engineered an elaborate surprise by hiring a coffin and hiding Peter in it, covering the unusual prescence of this prop by telling a story about how he used to live near a funeral home and would read stories with a friend in a coffin, and thought it would be appropriate to hire one for the meeting. On the call for the first person to read their story Peter, who had been back in town for quite a few days and had kept his return secret thanks to Simon’s idea, rose out of the coffin covered by a sheet. The other Slush members were completely shocked.
